Set Up External DNS for Your Zone
Not Yet Available
I/O Cloud's authoritative nameservers aren't reachable from the public internet yet, so nothing on this page works today. It's documented in advance so you know what to expect and what to check in the meantime. If you need public delegation sooner, let the platform team know — visible demand helps prioritize scheduling this work.
Prerequisites
- A DNS zone of your own — you need a zone before there's anything to delegate.
Steps
Checklist: None
What this will look like
At your domain registrar or public DNS provider, you'll add NS records delegating your zone to I/O Cloud's authoritative nameservers — expected to be:
ns-01.compute.eu-c1-tst.stud-io.cloud.ns-02.compute.eu-c1-tst.stud-io.cloud.
These names are provisional — nothing is registered under them yet. Once public exposure lands, this page will be updated with the confirmed names and exact delegation steps for common registrars.
What to check now instead
Your zone already resolves correctly today, just not from outside I/O Cloud. Confirm it from an instance connected per Manage DNS for Your Instances:
bash
dig @10.0.245.2 <name>.<your-zone>If that returns your instance's IP with status: NOERROR, your zone itself is working correctly — the only missing piece is public reachability of the nameservers, not your zone configuration.
