File Storage (CephFS)

File Storage provides a scalable, shared file system that can be accessed concurrently by multiple I/O Cloud Compute instances or clients. It is based on CephFS.

Features

  • Shared Access: Multiple instances can read and write to the file system simultaneously.
  • Standard Protocols: Accessible via standard protocols like NFS and SMB, as well as the native CephFS client.
  • Elastic: Automatically expands as you add more data.
  • High Availability: Data is replicated across the storage cluster to ensure durability and availability.

Usage

  • Compute Instances: Mount the file system on your VMs to share data between application servers, content repositories, or development environments.
  • VPN Access: Access your file storage securely from your local machine via VPN using the I/O Cloud Storage Gateway (SGW).
